TO ORDER
All Velmu garments are made-to-order and hand-sewn by one person, and that's me :-) My name is Edith. Perhaps a little more about me and my story later... Now it's all about the clothes.
The idea behind Velmu is to reuse, repurpose and up-cycle already existing old textiles of different kinds. I have tons of garment ideas in my head and a pretty nice own collection of vintage textiles, but in principle I never make a piece in advance. In other words, there's no stock of garments. The average shipping time is two weeks from ordering.
So to get your kid their very own Velmu wear! Please follow the three easy steps below.
THE FABRIC
Firstly, we'll ask you to choose the textiles you wish to up-cycle. We'd love to up-cycle some of your old textiles: a table cloth inherited from grandparents, those jeans that no longer fit you, bed sheets that are too worn out to use but have parts that are still intact, a vintage fabric you found at a flea market... However, we don't want you to pay expensive shipping nor create more pollution. We're based in Malmö. If you can get your textiles to us easy pease – great. If not, don't worry about a thing! We have a treasure bank full of lovely textiles. We can make suggestions for you based on your color prefences.
THE GARMENT
Secondly, you'll get to choose which garment you'd like for your kid. As of today we have two pieces to choose from: the V-jacket and the Chonk-suit.

You'll aslo get to choose whether you'd like your garment lined or not; whether you'd prefer buttons or a zipper, and in the case of the Chonk-suit, whether you'd like it to have sleeves or not.
THE DETAILS
Thirdly and lastly, we'll get to the details:

- Size: As of today, we only make garments from the age 4 months to 3-3,5 years.
​
- Style: The classic V-jacket and Chonk-suit are made using one to three different fabrics and the V-jacket comes with one pocket. Are you interested in added hand-stitched appliqués or other added details? In that case, let's talk about it :-)

There's nothing harder than finding the exact right size for you kid's clothes. That's why I'm willing to have a dialogue about it.
Here are the measurements of the ready made V-jacket. If the perfect fit for your kid is in between two sizes, please contact me and let me know. I'm sure we can work it out somehow.
